Does anyone know who makes a orange colored sump pump?
I have an orange colored sump pump in my basement and I would love to buy a backup of the same brand for the future but I have no way of finding out what brand it is because it's currently in the sump. My builder installed it and I have no documentation on it. Thanks.
take pic and post it. if not any of the sump pump made today will do a good job. I had one installed last year and it works great

Either you have a CAST IRON sump pump or you are getting IRON OXIDE coming in with the ground water. It is normal for cast iron pumps to rust. This doesn't cause any problems. If there is abundant orange coating on the pump and the container it is in, you likely have a lot of iron in your ground water. You can do anything for iron coming in with ground water. You can clean your sump pit and pump occassionally with IRON OUT. You can buy this at any local plumbing store and at a lot of grocery stores in the laundy detergent section.
