My house is in a low spot so when it rains all the water comes to my house. I have a sump pump under my house to remove the water. When more water is comming in than being pumped out is it better to have 2 sump pumps side by side or 2 pumps in tandem? One sump pump under the house and another pump at ground level outside.

I have never had flooding in my basement (even in the heaviest of rains in Cleveland area last year) but I have interior waterproofing and a sump pump that works, but I am curious to know how the well fills when I rarely see the 2 pipes that lead into it draining water. On the side of my basement opposite the pump I can hear water dripping which is annoying and freaks me out a little. Why do I hear this dripping sound and what can I do about it?

I have a finished basement. If the pump fails and the water softner recycles during the night I get a flooded basement. As long as the sump pump works, alles gut. I just dont know how long to trust it. Thanks for your help.

I need to run a new sump pump line outside of my house. The ground is to level and no natural slope. Was going to run the drain into 4" perforated pipe and out about 50Ft will this work soil in sand.

The reason I want to install a sump pump in my backyard is to pump the water out to the street so that it doesn't pool up and flood my backyard. The distance to be pumped would be 60 feet. If I do use a sump pump is there any way to power it without having a post in the ground with a GFCI outlet attached to it?
